We seek a skillful and talented SRE engineer to join our DevOps/SRE team at Sheypoor. The candidate must have experience in managing various services in high-traffic online business environments. Responsibilities include keeping the business services and infrastructures up and running. Close collaboration with development and other teams is required to improve development quality, automate processes, and monitor different services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with development teams on PHP, Python, and Go applications.
- Debugging and troubleshooting to find acceptable solutions for all running services and infrastructure aspects.
- Quick reaction and incident management to ensure service reliability.
- Improving and developing our monitoring stack based on Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB, and Graylog.
- Manage and maintain our scaled and highly available infrastructure.
- Maintaining replicated databases, including MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Design and improve automated deployments with Gitlab CI, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Actively engaging in developing configuration management with Ansible.
- Documenting and reporting the implementation and resolution of issues.
- Be available to work outside regular office hours for maintenance, updates, and emergency response.
Requirements
- Solid programming skills with one of the languages: PHP / Python / Go.
- Proven experience as an SRE/DevOps engineer or a similar role in the web-based online industry.
- Responsible for keeping servers and services clean and developing straightforward solutions for encountering problems.
- Proven experience with Linux, Nginx, and Varnish.
- Familiarity with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with the Grafana stack, Prometheus, and InfluxDB.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Galera, ProxySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis administration.
- Strong scripting skills with Bash.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and an eye for detail to spot and fix issues.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and self-motivation to conduct research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with security best practices in bare-metal environments.
- Fluency in English.
